    Week 6 Engineering notebook                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           9/27/18                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            In Solidworks we are almost done with making chassis and all that's left to do is to put the shaft collars on the shafts and to center the cortex between the two 2x1x35 rails. We also have ideas to build to crane arm chassis.                                                                                                                                   

Week 5 Engineering notebook 9/21/18 Today we started coding to make sure that the cortex and control were in sync, we left our flash drive at home so we could not accurately save. Then we started brainstorming on some ideas about the claw  about the claw and came to a conclusion that the ones on the top shelf were not going to cut it, So I went to you tube to find the perfect claw but there was no luck yet. Then I decided to build the base.

  Week 5 Engineering Notebook 9/19/18 Today we mostly focused on programming the robot after we switched certain channels, we replaced and moved all wheels. We also started building our chassis in Solidworks and ran into a few problems were the parts wouldn't load but we figured it out and now we have an hard drive to keep the parts on so we don't run into that problem again.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Week 4 Engineering Notebook    9/5/18 We have to take off the 2x5x35 double railings and put something else, also we have to switch the rails that are in solidworks to something easier to find on the Vex robotics website.  and next class we should focus on putting the wheels and motors on.

   Week 3 Engineering Notebook                                           8/31/18                            Today we got all the wheels and railing's on the robot. And we split up to get the SolidWorks done before the deadline. On SolidWorks we ran into a problem, we couldn't find a 2x5x35 railing online on the vex robotics website. So instead we just used a regular railing that they had there. Also, we are starting to put the motors on so we can continue on to programming and completing the challenge.

Week 3 Engineering Notebook 8/28/18 We got done putting the wheels together, and we got done building our structure. The problem is the gear, the gears were too big, and we had a feeling it was going to move a bit slow. We added the cortex in the middle, and we are about to add the motors.

Week 4 Engineering Notebook 9/7/18 Today we switched the back rail with a 2x3x35 rail and switched the front rail with a 2x2x20 rail. we got all the motors and wheels on. And we are looking to advance to the challenge and completing Solidworks.
